Quite calmly, our research activities in one of the best tropical field labs have just begun earlier this year. What a fantastic new place, equipped with modern lab interior and great working conditions and (still) a lot of space for our large group and more. What an incredible view on the surrounding forest, epiphytes and birds in a nearby tree crown. A place to work, to sort samples, to read natural history books, to let your thoughts wander or to talk with colleagues over a cup of coffee. Thanks to all the staff of Jocotoco for making this possible, particularly Adela Espinosa who had a tremendous impact on the successful realization of this lab and has spent many of her weekends in Canandé. Without all her energy and motivation this would not have been realized in such a short time and with such a great design and all the little details.
