I am a community ecologist with an emphasis on understanding and conserving species interactions, particularly plant-insect (i.e., pollination, herbivory, parasitoidism). I have worked and collaborated on projects in tropical, temperate, and arctic habitats and agroecosystems. My research investigates how agricultural practices reshape species interaction networks and how these networks and involved communities naturally recover once agricultural activity ceases. I combine biodiversity assessment with network theory, interpreted through a conservation and management lens.” Currently, I am the scientific coordinator and postdoctoral researcher of the Reassembly Project. My role within the project focuses on synthesis work to understand recovery mechanisms across different taxa and their implications for conservation. I am also assistant editor for the journal Ecological Solutions and Evidence and a member of the Asociación Mexicana para el Avance de la Ciencia (AMEXAC), which works to strengthen evidence-informed decision-making
