The position is fixed-term until October 2025. Expected starting date is April 2023 or sooner *), and the salary is 100% TVL E13 (gross income ca. 3600 €/mo).

The position for the postdoctoral scientific coordinator will be based at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, Ecological Networks lab, and the candidate is also expected to travel regularly to the field station in Ecuador for several months per year. The coordinator will be responsible for leading the integration among empirical and theoretical subprojects and the interactions between the project and its Ecuadorian counterparts. He/she will be responsible for implementing the overall project framework and data management, analysing surveys, process measurements, plot-specific environmental data and a perturbation experiment. He/she is also expected to lead scientific synthesis papers across projects. Independent scientific writing skills, proven by the publication record of the candidate, are thus an important criterion.
